an energy-saving frequency converter for bluestar (beijing) chemical machinery’s high-voltage motor got approval recently and is expected to cut electricity use 26 percent annually, equal to 854 tons of standard coal, and cut costs by 1.2 million yuan. the high-voltage motor uses an energy management contracting system for the boiler no. 3 at aeolus tyre’s power plant.
this innovative converter is the first of its kind in the chemchina system. bluestar (beijing) has provided frequency converter equipment and has used the lean six sigma in analyzing boiler loads, throttle openings, and frequency for a matching motor power-frequency curve so the boilers use less energy when working at full capacity or even overloaded.
