the china national chemical corp held the 3rd session of its 1st workers congress and its work conference on jan 12, 2013, with 154 representatives from headquarters and subsidiaries taking part.
ren jianxin, the gm, speaking on behalf of chemchina’s management, reported on the work of the past year, with the various participants calling the report an objective, comprehensive summary of the company’s work in 2012 and a good approach to 2013. and, they said they were more confident about the company’s future. ren jianming, the vice-gm and president of the company’s trade union, gave more details on the 2012 report and work arrangements for 2013 in relation to the trade union. the evaluation committee, labor protection supervision and inspection committee, and the labor law supervision committee reported on various suggestions the workers had made on work safety and labor protection, and the labor laws. various departments gave replies to some 55 motions and bills that workers submitted. there were deliberations on the reports, and a final resolution for the session was accepted.
the work conference was attended by workers congress representatives as a means of showing chemchina’s respect for them, and for their right to understand and participate in major events related to chemchina’s reforms and development. the representatives said they would follow the spirit of the conference and the congress and do better in their work, and try harder to accomplish all tasks set by the conference, and contribute to the healthy development of chemchina.
