recently, eight employees at chemchina won the state-owned company model worker award from the ministry of human resources and social security and the sasac. five of the employees were from bluestar: wang jianjun, general-manager of bluestar beijing chemical machinery; yang yong, assistant director of the audit department of shandong dongda chemical; feng yuehua, deputy chief engineer of the bluestar changsha design and research institute; huang yi, general manager assistant of shanxi synthetic rubber group; and li huiwu, deputy general manager of shenyang paraffin chemical.
feng was the only woman of all five winners. she is very experienced and widely respected in the petroleum, chemical prospecting and design industries. for more than 30 years, she was a part of nearly 100 projects that involved chemical process and technical development, engineering design and industrialization. she helped break through many problems in comprehensive utilization and environment protection in the salt lake brine. she also contributed to a few key projects overseas at the changsha institute.
the ministry of human resources and social security and the sasac set up the model worker award to stir up worker enthusiasm and creativity at state-owned companies. the event is held every five years to commend those who have made outstanding contributions to the reform and development of enterprises, as well as to maintaining and increasing the assets of state-owned companies. the winners all were hardworking, selfless, enterprising and innovative. they included excellent management personnel and technical experts.
