the first batch of three silicone oils produced by xinhuo organic silicone’s downstream workshop no 6 was shipped to other provinces on march 20, marking another organic silicone downstream product of the plant to hit the market.
the workshop is part of the expansion and integration of the 200,000-ton organic silicone project. all production units apply bsi technology. as a result, the workshop features cutting edge process optimization, equipment selection, control, security and environmental protection. all operations are dcs controlled, and the workshop mainly produces vinyl silicone oil of different types and viscosities.
the production units were in place on march 26, 2013, and technical personnel from the plant and bsi experts often put in extra hours to run tests to strive for a trial run at an early date. they worked hard to ensure there were no problems in air seal, linkage, instrument circuit, security and instrument calibration.
during the countdown of production, production managers held daily meetings to coordinate efforts to solve existing problems and urged employees to get familiar with the process. bsi experts also went to the field to do consistency checks and address safety and stability issues. the joint efforts paved the way for the smooth trial run.
vinyl silicone oil is widely used in making liquid silicone rubber, computer keyboard contact material, pacifier, high-temperature rubber filler, led and pouring sealant. the products have great market prospects.
