the china bluestar guangzhou research institute of synthetic materials has attached much significance to research and development of aging and anti-aging additives and new materials. the new-type highly efficient anti-oxidative color reducing agent development project synthesizes anti-oxidative color reducing agent ac-400 (oligomeric alkylphenol polysulfide), which has double efficacies of anti-thermal oxidation and color reducing, through alkylation and thiosulfate reactions, using phenol and olefins as its main raw materials. it is a special additive for rosin demanded by the market, which can improve the quality and its deep processing products and broaden its applications. it has made up the market vacancy of special anti-oxidative and color reducing additives. its development could promote the domestic rosin sector to a professional level, and push ahead the industrialization and scaled development of anti-oxidative additives of china bluestar guangzhou research institute of synthetic materials.
the institute could boost investment in research and development in 2012, to form a scientific operational mechanism of "declaration and development- identification/acceptance - achievements transformation" for project development, while strengthening project identification and acceptance by the ministry of science and technology, and provincial and municipal projects, with two municipal class science and technology projects approved in early 2012. the institute has attached significance to the protection of the intellectual property rights (ipr), strengthened internal management and self-protections of ips, and would implement the headquarters’ ipr strategy. it submitted 12 patent applications and completed the annual patent applications target ahead of schedule in the first quarter of 2012.
at the existing aging research lab, the aging research and synthesis test production line/device, aging study pilot device, aging test and aging inspection equipment research, development and manufacturing center, and aging inspection center, the institute is promoting construction of the aging research laboratory. meanwhile, the 1,000-t/yr antioxidant project in jiangxi xinghuo organic silicone plant is eying an anti-aging product/new material production base.
