the “probiotics evaluation methodology workshop and the adisseo first intestinal health seminar” hosted by adisseo company was held in beijing recently. co-organizer novozymes, relevant experts and dozens of partners have witnessed the birth of a brand new method, which can be a breakthrough to the bottleneck of probiotic evaluation technology. novozymes is a world-renowned manufacturer of industrial enzyme preparations and microbial preparations. the evaluation method is jointly developed by adisseo and novozymes. it will serve as a more convenient, objective, and accurate evaluation scale for probiotics, and promote the industry to take a step closer to the green farming.
since 2017, adisseo released the first probiotic product, antailai®, in china, and then officially entered the market of china's intestinal health market. on the issue of intestinal health, adisseo invited senior experts to hold regular meetings. the seminar focused on different technical hotspots and actively created an objective, fair and free technology exchange platform for new knowledge and new technologies related to intestinal health.
at the seminar, technical experts from adisseo and novozymes introduced the in-vitro evaluation methods and research progress of probiotics. safety, efficacy, and stability evaluation are the main features of this method. safety evaluation mainly includes whether there is no hemolysis, whether it is cytotoxic, and whether it does not contain resistance genes related to human antibiotics.function analysis mainly includes bacteriostatic analysis, metabolomics and genomics analysis, improvement of intestinal barrier function analysis, and more. key factors affecting the efficiency and stability of probiotic products include strain characteristics and mechanism of action, farm application conditions, correct application of strains and cfu quantities. experts from the industrial research institute of jiangnan university and sichuan agricultural university elaborated on the latest developments in the field of probiotics research, the important role of enzyme ecological agents in improving the intestinal health of poultry and the broad market prospects in the future.
during the seminar, adisseo also set up an experimental testing session to display the operation procedure of the plate spore counting of the feed microbial products and the operation process of the inoculation of the clostridium perfringens by the feed microbial products at the novozymes china headquarters laboratory. participants were able to see the screening effect on the spot.
