bluestar held a meeting on feb 20 to summarize work during the first phase of mass line education and make deployments for the second phase. the meeting was conducted through videoconference and phone calls simultaneously at main and branch venues. members of the chemchina supervision team were present and delivered speeches. gao jianjun, party secretary of bluestar and head of the mass line education, gave a motivational speech. lu shaohua, deputy party secretary of bluestar, chaired the meeting. bluestar leadership, members of the education leadership, heads of departments, party officials at subsidiaries in beijing and some staff representatives attended the meeting.
a total of three leaders, 65 party members and three party organizations at bluestar attended the first phase activity, which followed the spirit of president xi jinping’s speeches. the activity underlined clean work style, self review, behavior correction and anti-corruption. the first phase activity started at the beginning of july 2013 and ended at the end of jan 2014. in the seven months, the bluestar party committee earnestly pushed forward to change work style, educate leadership and increase cohesion inside the company.
gao jianjun reviewed the first phase education activity in his speech, summarized the outstanding characteristics of the activity, and pointed out the major results and experiences from the activity. bluestar followed the instructions of the sasac and chemchina party committees and carefully carried out the activity. the first phase witnessed strong leadership, thorough coordination and arrangement, solid education, extensive consultation, in-depth problem solving, serious critique, timely implementation of reform, and orderly establishment of rules and regulations. the activity enhanced the mass line idea of party officials, clarified ideas to transform and upgrade company development, shifted work style of leadership and government organs, helped settle outstanding problems in company development, and steadily forged ahead the long-term mechanism to fight bureaucracy and corruption.
at the meeting, gao jianjun made deployments for the second phase of the education activity and asked all personnel to work earnestly while consolidating the achievements of the first phase. he urged all bluestar personnel to follow the spirit of speeches by president xi jinping and sasac director zhang yi that summarized the first phase of mass line education and made deployments for the second phase. the party organization at all levels should adhere to overall requirements of the second phase activity, clarify key tasks, integrate production and operation with party construction, and strengthen management.
chen jiandong, chemchina party member, conveyed the spirit of the sasac and chemchina party committee on mass line education activities. chen spoke highly of the first phase activity and expressed his hope and requirements for bluestar’s reform and development and the second phase activity.
