the 2nd china overseas investment summit was held in hong kong on aug 22-24. leung chun-ying, chief executive of the hong kong special administrative region and peng qinghua, director of the liaison office of chinese central people's government in hong kong addressed the meeting. vice-premier li keqiang delivered a congratulatory letter. ren jianxin, general manager of chemchina, spoke about “implement international strategy to gain mutual benefits and win-win results”. more than 1,400 companies from the chinese mainland, hong kong, macao and taiwan participated in the conference.
ren was honored as the 2012 annual best china overseas investor. meanwhile the elkem merger with china national bluestar (group) co won the 2012 annual best china overseas investment case.
