open your mind to embrace the world. china international import expo (ciie), which opened in shanghai on november 5, attracted world attention. as the world’s first large-scale national exhibition with import as its theme, it is not only a historic opportunity for overseas enterprises to enter the chinese market and expand their exports to china but also a historic opportunity to promote the development of multilateral economic and trade relations, integrate into the global industrial chain, and take the fast ride of china’s development. ciie includes two parts, namely the exhibition and forums. ning gaoning, secretary of chemchina’s party committee and chairman of chemchina, and hao zhigang, secretary of bluestar’s party committee and chairman of bluestar, took part in the opening ceremony. ning gaoning presided over the parallel forum themed “trade and innovation,” and hao zhigang participated in the forum and the subsequent sasac forum. adisseo, an overseas enterprise of bluestar, engaged in the exhibition and signed purchase agreements with its partners.
through 40 years of reform and opening-up, china has grown from a beneficiary of opening-up to a bearer of international responsibility. looking back at the development of bluestar, it has assumed the role of witness, participant and beneficiary of reform and opening-up in the vicissitudes. starting from the single industrial cleaning business in 1984, bluestar’s business expanded to the new chemical materials field 10 years later. in 2006, it had a presence in the overseas market, which marked by the acquisition of adisseo. it has proactively explored the chemical field and realized the global business layout. it has grown with the reform and opening-up, fully competed with the global market, deeply interacted with the world, and opened wider to the world, providing a positive reference model for the international development of chinese enterprises that need to “go global and perform well.”
the exhibition brought together more than 130 countries, regions, and international organizations, as well as over 3600 enterprises, including many world-class enterprises. bluestar’s overseas enterprise adisseo displayed its star products rhodimet methionine feed additive and metasmart methionine dedicated to dairy cows. as the first overseas merger and acquisition enterprise in china’s fine chemical industry, adisseo is of international cooperation significance in participating the ciie. during the exhibition, adisseo held on-site procurement signing ceremonies with several important partners such as new hope group and zhengbang group. new hope group is one of china’s largest feed manufacturers and farming and animal husbandry enterprises. zhengbang group is a key national leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization. the signing of the contracts perfectly conforms to the theme of “new era, shared future” and will promote the sustained and in-depth cooperation between the two sides to achieve mutual benefit.
