on january 27, the bluestar party committee, following the unified arrangement of sinochem holdings’ leading party members’ group, held a criticism and self-criticism meeting through learning and education of party history. the theme was focused on vigorously carrying forward the great founding spirit of the party, inheriting and developing the experience of the party’s century-long efforts, strengthening the confidence from history, fulfilling the mission of the times, fostering the feelings of serving the people, assuming responsibility, and uniting and leading employees to rise to tests and challenges. yang shihao, vice president and member of the leading party members’ group of sinochem holdings, gave instructions at the meeting. comrade jia zhongde, deputy head of no. 1 group for supervising the party history study and education and deputy director of the office of sinochem holdings, supervised the meeting. the meeting was presided over by hao zhigang, party secretary and chairman of bluestar.
the bluestar party committee attached significant importance to the themed meeting. before the meeting, the party committee, under the guidance of the no. 1 group, formulated a work plan and made arrangements. members of the party committee’s leadership team studied the speeches of general secretary xi jinping and the resolution of the cpc central committee on major achievements and historical experiences of the party’s centennial struggle, so as to lay a solid ideological foundation for opening a criticism and self-criticism meeting. they were to solicit opinions and suggestions from all sides with an open mind by convening seminars and filling out opinion forms. they identified the problems in their inspection through heart-to-heart talks, wrote self-reflection materials concerning the leadership team and individuals, investigated problems and prepared the meeting in a strict manner.
hao zhigang, on behalf of the leadership team of the party committee, made a self-examination statement, followed by other members of the team, with criticism and self-criticism conducted. they focused on five aspects such as “spearheading understanding the decisive significance of the ‘two establishments’” by investigating the prominent problems, analyzing the root causes of problems, and formulating targeted measures for rectification. they reviewed themselves, duties and tasks with openness and honesty so that they further unified them in thinking, set a direction and enhance their cohesion.
mr. yang made an important speech, affirmed the results of the themed meeting for criticism and self-criticism, and required members of the party committee’s leadership team to set an exemplary for other party members and take the lead in “guidance through party building, reform and development, and integrity and honesty”. first, members of the leadership team must do a good job of playing the leading role of the party committee in ensuring the high-quality development. they must spearhead the study and practice of xi jinping thought on socialism with chinese characteristics for a new era, implement the spirit of president xi jinping’s important speech at the conference on party building of state-owned enterprises, play an exemplary role in “political belief, awareness of purpose, and leadership” and facilitate the integration of party building and business. second, they must set a good example in serving the integration strategy of sinochem and chemchina and promoting reform and development on all fronts. they must be committed to seeking advances steadily, undertaking the mission of reform, strengthening the bottom-line thinking, raising the awareness of opportunities and improving the ability. guided by the new strategy of integrating sinochem and chemchina, they must focus on the major business of new chemical materials and specialty chemicals to play a leading role in governing enterprises and enhancing efficiency and benefits while integrating the two corporations. third, they must set a model in keeping clean and honest and creating a clean environment for development. they must play a leading role in assuming the “two responsibilities”, practicing the work style of integrity and honesty and strengthening the oversight over the “key few” and make every effort to create a clean development environment and boost the high-quality development of enterprises.
jia zhongde made comments, pointing out that the well-prepared meeting objectively conducted investigation, analysis and serious criticism and self-criticism and achieved the expected purpose. the party committee has been required to implement the spirit of sinochem holdings’ 2022 work conference, comprehensively strengthen the party’s political building, truly transform the “two establishments” into consciously enhancing the “four consciousnesses”, firmly establishing the “four self-confidences” and achieving the “two upholds”. it needs to rectify the old and new problems found in the meeting, the inspection and party building assessment and rectification. it needs to continue to boost the high-quality development with high-quality party building, strengthen party building comprehensively, consolidate the results of party history study and education, adhere to the overarching principle of pursuing progress while ensuring stability and implement the new vision for development. it also needs to focus on steady growth, win the three-year action for the state-owned enterprise reform, strengthen technology innovation, prevent and defuse major risks, and do a good job of party conduct and corporation integrity to accomplish the tasks of production, operation, reform and development.
the party committee stated that it would take this meeting as an opportunity to carry forward the great founding spirit of the party, implement the “two establishments” and ensure that all undertakings of bluestar move forward along the direction guided by president xi jinping. it has been determined to promptly rectify the problems as a way to foster the feelings of serving the people, focus on the opinions solicited before the meeting and the to-be-rectified problems identified by the meeting. it has been courageous to take up the role and transform the meeting’s results into a strong impetus to expedite the development of a global leading enterprise for new chemical materials and specialty chemicals so as to contribute to implementing the strategy and mission for integrating sinochem and chemchina. it has pursued integrity and clean corporate governance, strengthened the style of work by always aligning employees with compliance and discipline, and built up the ideological line of fighting against corruption in an effort to welcome the 20th cpc national congress with actions.
